January Smalls SAL......

Today, is our first Smalls SAL post for 2016!!!  YEAH!!!  I'm SOOOO HAPPY to have joined in this group again this year!  It is so much fun plus it keeps me focused on getting those smalls of mine all stitched and hopefully for getting Christmas ornaments made earlier too!!!  Heather of Stitching Lotus is our lovely moderator and host once again this year!  Be sure to check out her blog at the link above and the others who are participating in our Smalls SAL group.

I've been busy this month.  For my first smalls post I want to share Kimberly's birthday present.  I stitched her a small design from BBD In Friendship's Way book and mounted it onto a box that I stained for her.  I did not get the exact box that BBD had suggested getting from Hobby Lobby as they were out of of it.  But I thought it turned out nicely.  Kimberly says she is keeping her threads and scissors for her current project stored in it.

The second project I finished was JN Winter Spell Whimzi.  I just LOVE stitching those whimzi's and I've almost gotten them all done.  I'm not sure how many more I have left to finish but it's not many.

I am also trying to get some of my other stitched pieces ACTUALLY FINISHED to display in my house.  Yesterday I finished JN Jingle Tin Topper.  It's been stitched ever since it came out.  Yes.....shame on me for not getting it totally finished and displayed before now.

I've also stitched up DD Valentine's Day present and finished it already but I can't show you yet.  I found another small xstitch to stitch up for her so she'll get 2 stitched Valentine presents this year.  I will be able to share those next month!!

Happy Stitching!!!

January TUSAL ....

Ok I admit it.  This TUSAL escaped me in signing up and blogging on the date selected!  How did that happen???  Well anyway, I have signed up for Sharon's annual TUSAL SAL.  You can click on the link above to take you to her blog called It's Daffycat.

Here is what I have to share for January's ORTs.  Not too much as I wanted to spend as much time with DD before she went back to college and with DS before he went back to high school.

I hope to have LOTS more ORTs to share with you throughout this coming year!

HAPPY STITCHING everyone!

Christmas present to DH.....

I can share what I stitched and framed for one of DH's Christmas presents!  It is My Big Toe Armor of God stitched in the fabric and threads suggested.  I saw this last fall and immediately ordered it to give to DH for part of his Christmas presents.  He opened it and LOVED IT!!!!  He was presented with an ornamental sword hanging on a shield from friends from Luke AFB.  The sword hangs in his office at work and now he can take my framed picture to hang next to it on his wall.

I found the frame from Hobby Lobby while shopping with my parents!  It turned out GREAT if I say so myself and DH was just totally surprised when he opened it!!!

Now I'm back to my stitching today and movie day with DD before she goes back to college on Sunday.

Happy Stitching!

A New Year....New Projects....and Happy New Year

I know I know.  I'm 4 days late wishing everyone a very Happy New Year!  I've spent this time with family which is very important to me!!!  DD will soon be going back to college and I'm wanting to spend as much time with her as possible as well as spending time with DS before he went back to school today.

Now is the time every year that I make my TO DO LIST for projects that I'm wanting to accomplish this coming year.  I make 2 lists actually. One list is for ornaments and another list for birthday presents.  That way I know when the birthday present needs to be finished by and mailed out.  I'm making ADDITIONAL list this for my UFO/WIP for projects that I want to try and finish this coming year.  I may not finish all of the UFO/WIP but at least I can see what I have and want to finish but also see if there are any of those that just need a new home to go to be finished.  We'll see how this additional list goes this year!

I'm back to stitching now in between loads of laundry.

HAPPY STITCHING!!!!
