Smalls SAL update

Good morning everyone!  I am home from vacation and I don't think I've stopped since coming home from vacation.  So that is why I haven't been posting.......I was vacationing.  But that will be a report for another day....another time.

Today is the Smalls SAL posting date!  YEAHHHH and I get to share something that I stitched up while on vacation.

You can find out more about how to join in on this fun SAL by clicking on the link above or by going to Stitching Lotus' link here.

I can share this picture with you as it is an ornament for my mom this year.  I always stitch her and my dad an ornament every year.  I meant to get it finished but with other things going on I just didn't get around to it.  So yes.....you may be seeing it "FINISHED" at a later day.   I can show the picture as she doesn't have a computer so she doesn't read my blog.

This is BRD Redbirds Rejoice from the JCS Ornament magazine 2013.  It is stitched on a 36ct fabric from Sassy's Fabrics.  If you want to know the name, please leave me a comment and I will go look it up and tell you.  But at the moment....I don't remember.  It is stitched in the threads called for with the exception of the star between the doves.  The Curry color was too much like my fabric and didn't show up so I substituted Kreinik 202HL #4braid.

Until my next post.......HAPPY STITCHING!!!

  8. That is just too cute! I believe I skipped over doing that one because of the over one... I like my ornaments small, but the thought of doing so much over one on 36--too scary--not fond of doing it (tho I did it ONCE)!
