Doing a SAL.....and joined another one....

I'm currently working on my NeedleWork Press Anne Wheatley 1829 which I bought from the Attic.  I wanted to be farther along but somehow have gotten behind due to different things.  We went away as a family on a couple of short vacations and I was fearful for taking it with me and losing my supplies or leaving them in the hotel room.   So now I'm trying to play catch up with it so I can email the designer my WIP for her contest for this project.

Then I've joined another SAL from iStitch.  This one is a Mystery and Carol has now closed it out but you can still read and possibly follow our progress on this Mystery.  The link is here.

I am going to be stitching mine on 40ct Antique White Newcastle linen as well with a HDF from my stash.  You can find HDF (Hand Dyed Fibers) from this link here.

I started SB Tiny Garden Scissor Fob on my birthday but didn't get very far as you know from reading below that my birthday started out with me having a bad migraine headache.  So I'm trying to finish that little project up also.

That's about it for now.  I've GOT to start stitching some more xmas ornaments as I feel SOOO FAR BEHIND because I'm usually DONE by now with all my xmas gift giving ornaments.  Hmmm....may have to devote one week to doing NOTHING but xmas stitching!  That sounds like a plan!

Happy Stitching!

  1. Not one Christmas ornament stitched in this house either. I started the 2011 Christmas Challenge so I would stitch and post one ornament a month but here we are in August. Soon ....

  2. I joined the iStitch SAL, as well. I've finally settled on my fabric & thread...32ct Cafe Mocha Country French Linen & WDW Dutch Iris. From the floss toss, I think the thread will really "pop" on the fabric.
