April Smalls Post.......

I am SOOOOOO glad that I went ahead and wrote all the dates on my kitchen calendar to know when I am supposed to post for all my SALs!!!!  Today is the day for me to post my "smalls SAL" for Stitching Lotus Smalls SAL .  To find out more about it, you can click on the link on my sidebar or on Stitching Lotus above.

I have finished 5 smalls for this month but I can only show you one today.  So sorry.  The others are for birthday gifts and and one exchange.  But once I've given them to the recipient, I will share the finishes then.

This was a freebie chart that I had and thought it would stitch up really cute!  And it did!  It is The Cricket Collection Red-Nosed Kiss, and I did use the DMC thread colors called for except that I substituted the 3865 whiteish DMC thread for a Kreinik 001 #4Braid to give it that little bit of sparkle.  I might restitch this one again and use more traditional Christmas colors.

Happy Stitching!

Wow!  Where did my morning go this a.m.?????  I go to look for finishing fabrics, come home and see on the calendar that I'm to post my TUSAL report!  ACKKKKK.....I can't believe I forgot to post it first thing this morning.  If you want to know what that is about, click on my TUSAL sidebar link or the one above.

Here are my ORTs for this month in my little ORT container that I keep by my side.  Next month I will share a picture of them ALL in the big jar too.

I would show some more of my stitching that I worked on this month but some are birthday gifts.  Sorry.....you will see them soon enough.

Ok.....back to stitching now.  I have project I am going to work on tomorrow that I thought up today for a finish and found a picture of what I was trying to create.  Until another post.......

Just Nan SAL post for April!!!

Yeah!!!  Today is the day I get to post my JN SAL for this month.  I stitched up Tulip Time for Zeb's JN SAL.  You can click on the link on my side bar or go to Zeb's blog link at Keep Calm and Cross Stitch.  I am TRULY loving participating in this JN SAL.  It is motivating me to get all these wonderful little projects stitched up and to be able to share it with other JN enthusiasts!!!  But I have also been collecting some of those "missing charts and kits" that I did not buy the first time around.  That's a good excuse.....right????

Here is Tulip Time.

I would have posted it this morning but being on a Sunday, I had church to go to first, and then I was off to Sampler Sunday at the Attic Needlework in Mesa, AZ.  I got to share my JN Tulip Time with the ladies there today also .  Then I came home to hurry and photograph it up to share here.

I also finished JN Daffodil Run earlier this month for Serendipitous Stitching Blog Hop but I will share here as well in case you missed Jo's Easter Blog Hop.

Now......to figure out what I want to stitch up for next month's SAL.  Hmmmmm sooooo many choices to stitch........so little time.

Happy Stitching!

Easter Treasure Hunt Blog Hop 2014

Happy Good Friday!!!!  I am taking part in Jo's Easter Treasure Hunt Blog Hop this year.  You can see where the Treasure Hunt starts by going to Jo's blog link at Serendipitous Stitching.

We were to xstitch something either Spring or Easter to share.  I decided on Just Nan Daffodil Run and framed it in her adorable frame.  I've been wanting to stitch this up for a while now and this was a perfect time since I thought the daffodil's looked SPRINGY.  I always remembered seeing daffodils around Easter time.

I already had these 2 Just Nan whimzi's stitched up but decided since they were spring looking and had bunnies on them that they would be perfect to share as well.

Your letter for this stop is ........   W

I want to thank Jo for including me in this Easter Treasure Blog Hop.  Your next stop is to go to Jacquie's blog at My Journey.

I also want to wish everyone a very Happy Good Friday and Happy Easter.  May you be blessed today and every day.

iStitch Designs Exchange

Ohhhhhh what fun this is going to be!!!  Carol of iStitch Designs has organized an iStitch Design Exchange and the closing date is coming soon.

Here is what Carol says about this exchange:

iStitch Designs Exchange signups close on April 20 so if you do want to join in, please email me asap (my address is on my profile). I need your name and address and whether or not you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced stitcher so I can pair you with a like partner. Items have to be stitched and mailed on or before July 31.

To get to Carol's blog, you can click on the link HERE or on her link in my side bar.  She also has a link on her blog left side bar as well for the iStitch Designs Exchange.  If you don't have any of her charts but still want to participate in the exchange, do not to worry.  The Attic Needlework has some charts in stock 1-888-94ATTIC or you can contact Carol directly and purchase your chart directly from her.  She will then send you a PDF file usually within 24hours of purchasing.

So come on and join in on the fun!  Now I have the big decision of WHAT CHART to stitch for my recipient!!!!

Happy Stitching!

Contest to share.....

Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe is having a contest that you can enter to win a Custom Family Name chart.  You can read all about it here at this link or click on it in my Blog side bar.  She had designed up a BEAUTIFUL chart and she will even graph out your family name as well so that you can start stitching it immediately.  So be sure to go and enter to try and win!

Now I'm off to do some stitching myself after spending an eventful morning running errands, getting the van oil changed and then a delightful time of skyping with  my daughter who is off in college!  I just LOVE our little mommy/daughter Skype times together.  We're already making plans what to do when she comes home this summer.

Happy Stitching everyone!
