March Smalls Post.....

Heather of Stitching Lotus is our host of our monthly Smalls SAL.  You can click on her blog name to be taken to her sight to see all the other participants and to sign up if you would like.

I have been stitching on bigger projects for the month but one is a medium project and not framed.  I would rather show it to you framed than now unframed.

Here are my 2 Smalls that I can share with you this month.  The first one is a Foxwood Crossings letter sled for my dear friend Carol of iStitch Designs.  It is a very belated Christmas ornament but I had sent it with her very be-birthday present as well.  I promised Carol I wouldn't be so late on her birthday and Christmas presents this year.

The second Smalls I finished was this SB Embrace The Journey bag that I bought when I went to the SB retreat October 2016.  This was such a fun little bag to stitch up and was very quickly done.

I was also stitching on my PS ornament for this month but sadly he did not get finished in time. Therefore....I will have 2 to share for next month!!!

Now back to my stitching for today!!

HAPPY STITCHING EVERYONE!!!

March TUSAL report....

Yeah!  Today is our TUSAL report!!!  I don't think I have as many ORTs as I did for last month.  Maybe I just stitched the thread all the way down to practically nothing. LOL  But here is what I have to share with you today!!!

Now it's back to stitching time for me!!  I am working on JN Peacock Cypher which is WAY OVERDUE for being finished!!!  I really need to get stitching on some more ornaments as I feel like I am getting behind on this year's Christmas gifts.

Happy Stitching everyone!!

My Jill Rensel framed pieces!!!!

Well, I am WAY OVERDUE for posting about my new pieces I had Jill Rensel frame for me.  I always take some pieces whenever I go to the SB Retreats to drop off to Jill to be framed.  I LOVE how Jill does her framing and her staff is just as equally talented as well for helping her get my stitching goodies framed so beautifully!!!  These pictures are from the email that Jill sent to me.

SB Gratitude Sampler.  I wanted a lighter colored frame than what SB had framed theirs in.

SB Family.  I used a different frame than SB.

SB Friends.  This is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE FRAME molding.

SB Glad Hearts

This is JN Spring In the Air.  I had been wanting to stitch this for many years, and then I got the bright idea to have Jill paint some pansies on the mat or do something creative like that.  Jill said that Amber was the better painter for painting pansies!  Amber showed me some pansies she had painted on the computer while we were in the shop and suggested that we put some on the right and one on the left.  I told Amber I had seen her painting skills and had COMPLETE FAITH in whatever she would do for my piece.  She did an excellent job on the pansies!!!

As I told my husband before I left for the SB retreat, I was taking a "few" pieces to be framed by Jill and her staff.  But as I told him, this was to be my 2016 Christmas presents, 2017 Valentine's Day present, 2017 Mother's Day present and 2017 birthday presents.  I did not want any other gifts for those holidays.  But he still gave me something for Christmas.  LOL  And yes.....I scolded him too.

Didn't Jill, Amber and her staff do such a EXCELLENT JOB framing all 5 pieces!!!???!!!!  I LOVE THEM and get to enjoy them hanging on my wall!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog posts!!!

Happy Stitching everyone!!!

March Mid Month Stitcher's Garden Vintage SAL.....

Well I am a day late for posting my mid March Vintage SAL, but I had a full day with errands and a doctor appointment thrown in there at a new place that I had to find.  Thank goodness for GPS!!!

Here is my Mirabilia The Lady of The Flag WIP.  I haven't gotten to stitch on her too much but that's ok.  I knew it was going to be long process for this project and I really don't like carrying it outside of the house when traveling.

Hopefully I can get a little more progress on her before the Apr 1 posting date.

I did start on my Facebook Smalls Flowers challenge though.  Sadly....no picture of it yet as the starting day was just yesterday.  With having LOTS of errands and that doctor appointment, I didn't even get to start it until last night.  But AT LEAST I started on it on the actual starting date!

Now back to the sewing room and sewing on DD Easter Dress.  I have to get it done as I take her back to college on Sunday!!!  At least it's started and half sewn!!!   And yes....I will take a pic of her in it before she goes back.

Happy Stitching everyone!!!
