My Birthday dinner......

My son and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings tonight for my birthday dinner.  Oh my starsssssss.......there were NO PARKING spaces.  I had to park at the restaurant next door.  I did not know that there was an Arizona Cardinals football game playing on the TV.  The BWW lot was jam packed as was the restaurant.  They could not tell us how long the wait was and this was at 5:30pm tonight.  Yes....it was a Friday night but I did not realize this until we got there.  If I had not really wanted the Buffalo Wild Wings for my dinner and then my free birthday dessert, I might have turned around and came back home.  So my son waited patiently with me.  Actually....it all turned out fine and we only had to wait 35min for a table.

So .... here is some pics of the 2 of us and our dinner tonight.  He and I always share the large mild wings with ranch dressing and a side order of fries.  Then for dessert, I chose their Chocolate Fudge Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream drizzled with chocolate syrup.  YUM YUM!!!

I know ..... I know.  I will have to walk extra long for eating the dessert.  But in my defense....I didn't eat all my wings, fries and shared the dessert.  My son and I like to save some wings to eat later on after they've gotten cold in the fridge.

This just finished off my wonderful birthday today.  I'm off to xstitch the night away and watch some movies!!!

Happy Stitching!

It's My Birthday Today!!!!!

YEAHHHH it's my birthday today!!! I will tell you though my family and friends have spoiled me rotten.  My son gave me a gorgeous watch and my daughter sent me a card from college and we skyped so THAT was her birthday present to me which I was THRILLED to get to see her!!  And my hubby paid for my Jill Rensel framing that I will show you in a minute but I also got to Skype with him also today from his deployment location.  So here is the picture of my gifts from my family and friends.

And of course, all the gifts came with cards as well.  I didn't photograph the cards though this time.  Oh and I got a cookbook from my sister and a small figurine from one of my best friends but I forgot to put them in the pic.  That's the 3rd time I've photographed all my presents trying to get them all in there.  I knew I would forget something.  I always do.

So the 2 framed pieces are the Just Nan LOVE and Shepherd's Bush Sail Away.  I thought I had a picture of them but for some reason they were not saved on the external hard drive like I thought they were.  They are on the "old computer" that died.  So now....I really do have to get the old computer fixed to get all my xstitch charts and pictures off of it.

If you scroll down some on my blog, you should be able to see the framing that Jill did for me.  So sorry to not being able to show it here now.  Oh well.  Life happens.

THANK YOU to all my friends who have blessed me beyond measure today for my birthday.  Now...to decide WHERE TO GO EAT for my Birthday dinner.  It is a toss up of Buffalo Wild Wings and Red Robin.  Hmmmm decision decisions.  And to make my Hershey's Deep Dark Chocolate Cake with Buttercream icing for my birthday cake later on tonight.  I'm going to go xstitch now until dinner!

Happy Stitching!

A couple of finishes and a WIP......

Hello everyone!!!!!!  I'm soooo glad to be posting on my blog again!!!!  So much has happened recently and those closest to me know all the details so I won't bore you with all that has been going on in my life.  But as we all do, we have those days where it seems like things just go wrong constantly.  Unfortunately one of those things was my computer.  It died.  ACKKKKKKK  I'm sure yall would have the same reaction and after much trying to get it fixed, it wasn't happening.  So now I'm trying to find my way around on a new computer all the while still trying to find time to xstitch for sanity's sake!

So without further rambling on my part, I will show you my 2 small finishes for now.

LHN Glory to God ornament (from JCS ornament magazine a few years ago)   This will be my mom's ornament for Christmas this year.

LHN Attic Needlework (kit sold exclusively at Attic Needlework) Send me an email if you need the number to her shop to order the kit which is chart and Belle Soie Silks only....no fabric.

I'm sorry for the wrinkles in the design.  I was in  a hurry taking the pic this a.m. while I had my DD on the phone to help me know where/how to retrieve the pictures from the camera disc.  :-)

And now for one of my WIP that I tend to rotate.  This is for Nicola's Scarlet Letter year and this is Mary Baker Sampler.

I do have my husband's project but it was in the qsnaps this morning and I really didn't feel like undoing it since I knew I would be stitching on that project later today.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog.  Tomorrow is my birthday so I hope to open my presents in the morning and then spend the day just cross stitching the hours away.

Happy stitching!
