Smalls post for June

Yeah!  Today we get to post what we have stitched for our smalls this month!  Heather is our host of this SAL and here is her blog called Stitching Lotus.

This month I finished my 3 JN Ornamental Advent once again.  I thought I would get 4 done but once again....somewhere other things kept me from getting more stitching done on this project.  I'm not worried as I'm still way ahead of my game plan so I will soon get to the point of starting to do the FINISHING work on these little tags!

Here are my 3 days for this month.

As I said in one of my previous posts, I've been stitching on other things, but I can't show them because they are birthday gifts.  Don't worry, I will share the pictures when they receive their gifts.

I'm off to try and finish up my WTN&T June Word Play.  I'm sorry Janet for being soooooo behind on our SAL.  And who knows.....I may try to finish up a small UFO here this week.

Some new Just Nan projects.....

I was able to get some of the new Just Nan charts that came out at the Nashville Market and some of her releases recently.  Then......I always keep an eye out for some of those OOP charts that I never got when they originally came out so that's been such a treat for me.  I was able to find some Class Projects that were never offered at my LNS wherever I've lived at because of the military always moving us around.  So thankfully....once again I was able to acquire a couple of those Class Projects!

No.....I didn't buy these all at once but just have acquired them over several months at a time.  I have to manage it into the budget as I'm sure you would agree.

Don't you just LOVE that little Bride Mouse???  She's the last one to arrive just the other day!!

Here are Spring in the Meadows needlecase and  Perpetual Pentagon!!!  Oh how I LOVE  a challenge, and I think that Perpetual Pentagon will be definitely be one.  But I'm not worried as Nan gives GREAT finishing instructions!

These are my Ebay purchases!!!  I already had the Holly Bows chart kitted up but did not have the frame!  Then I was able to snag getting this little Peacock needle slide called Keep a Little Secret!  My daughter fell in LOVE with that needleslide!  I think because she loves that blue color so much!

Here are 2 class projects that I was able to purchase from Ebay!!!  WOOHOO!!!!  I am sooo excited as I have ALL of the Just Nan class projects!  Not all of them are stitched, but I'm working on it!

Now.....to find that "Time in a bottle" so that I can really get to stitching on all my new goodies to display in my house!!!  That's all I have to share for today, and thank you for taking time to read all of this!!!

June TUSAL report.....

Yep.....it's that time again to share our TUSAL report.  What is TUSAL?  Totally Useless Stitch A Long.  You can find out more about it by clicking the picture above and it will take you to Daffycat's blog that explains it all.  Or you can check out her blog It's Daffycat.

I've been stitching on some birthday presents so I can't show you those right now.  Once they receive their presents, I will be showing them to you then!!!  I've been busy stitching on my JN Ornamental Advent which I will share on my Smalls post later this month.  Hmmmm what else have I been stitching on?  I also stitch a patriotic small piece to make into a pincushion to mail to my recipient for a Facebook Patriotic Exchange.  I loved it soooo much that I'm going to restitch it again.....since I have the colors already pulled!  Would only make sense....right?  I've just completed stitching a smallish type project for my DH to give to him for Father's Day.  It won't be framed because I like him to pick out his own framing for it and I will share a picture then.  I still haven't finished stitching my June Word Play so I'm behind on that project. :(   In fact, it SHOULD have been finished by now.  I just don't know where my time goes some days so I really need to do double time on getting it finished.  Perhaps I may have to stay up late one night to get a few of these finished.

But here is my ORT tin filled for June followed by the ORT jar showing how it's really getting filled up.

Newly framed Shepherd's Bush projects!!!!

OMS!!!!  Don't you just love it when you finish a project???  I do!!!  But I also LOVE starting new projects too!  So when I went to Shepherd's Bush last October, I set my sights on getting some Shepherd's Bush projects finished (if they weren't) and to finish a few new ones!!!  I took 4 projects with me to drop off at Jill Rensel Studio to be framed while I was there to go to the SB retreat.  If you haven't visited Jill's blog to see her AMAZING FRAMING, then you need to click on her link on my side bar or here at Rensel Studio.  Jill and her staff do such a fabulous job but you do have to wait for the framing.  Yes....I am willing to wait for Jill and her staff to get to my framing done with all their beautiful creativity!!!

I got my package today and took pictures of the process that Jill and her staff go through to make sure your framing is packaged securely and safely without fear of it being damaged.  So here are the pictures I took today in the process of opening the package from her.  It is soooo well packaged that it's like opening a Christmas present.

OK.  So I had cut it open before remembering that I wanted to take pictures of how it was packaged!

I had to go retake the picture above as I had forgotten to take the mailing label off the front of the box.

There is packing paper on top and on the bottom.

Pictures taped to huge cardboard and then taped together and padded with bubble wrap around them which makes me feel good knowing that the pictures won't be shifting while in transit.

Each picture is wrapped like a present.  I have come to love seeing things wrapped in brown wrapping paper! :)

Each framed piece get a special cut cardboard insert to place on top of the framed piece for protection while being shipped.

Totally unwrapped from the paper and cardboard!!!!  Aren't they just beautiful!!!???!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to read through this long post!  It's soooo exciting to get newly framed pieces to hang in my house!!!  I have the perfect spot for them all!!!

Scissor Frog Contest to share.....

I want to share with you a contest from Lisa of Sleeping Double in a Singlewide.  She is downsizing some of her possession and is offering up a Scissor Frog as one of her contest prizes.  You can click on her blog link above to enter.

I have one scissor frog that a dear friend mailed to me.  However, my lovely scissors sit nestled in a decorative box I bought from Michaels.  So I've entered to try and win another scissor frog to help display the ones in the decorative box so they don't have to be hidden all the time.
