September Smalls Post.....

Heather from Stitching Lotus is our host each month for our Smalls SAL.  Be sure to click on her blog link to see what everyone has been up to stitching for Smalls!

I had quite a few smalls to do the "final finishing" on so I made sure to get those done.  So let's get started with the pictures!

This is Just Nan True Blue.  It has been stitched a while and I have had the frame laid out on my cutting table just waiting for it to be framed up.  However, when I do my "finishing" work on my pieces, I don't like to be interrupted so I had had it just laying there waiting patiently for me to finish.  I have been gone a lot here and there off and on all year long which is another reason why my projects weren't getting "finished" totally.

These are my parent's small ornaments for this year.  The angel is for my mom and Santa is for my dad.

This PS 2000 Santa was one I had stitchd with Janet back in May of this year.  However, my cord maker had decided to break at that time so my poor Santa was all stuffed and just waiting for the cording to be made.  Yes I know I could have made it by hand by twisting it, but honestly I am lazy on that chore when I can have a small tool to make it for me.  So I just waited to finish him til I had ordered a new cord maker.

The last ornament is one that I make for my Knoxville, TN Krispy Kreme guy whom I always go see when I am in town visiting family.  He's become like family to my family so he now gets an ornament each year!!  This is MBT Merry Christmas To You from  the 2016 JCS ornament magazine.  This was stitched on 32ct white Belfast linen using Hand Dyed Fibers in premium.  The colors were Perfect Red 6209, Exampler Gilded Cage, and Willow Withies 3229.

That's all I have to share for this month.

Happy Stitching!!!

TUSAL time again....

Yep....I am a day late for posting my TUSAL.  TUSAL....Totally Useless Stitch A Long.  This is hosted by Sharon of It's Daffycat.  So be sure to click on her blog to see what Sharon has been up to.

I have quite a bit of ORTs this month.  Hopefully I can show you quite a few finishes during my Smalls posting.  But at least I did take the picture yesterday of the ORTs.

Now after a full day of running errands here and there and to rush back home to meet the washer repairman, I am READY to sit and stitch the evening away.  Yes....my washer is torn up but he said I could still use it.  I will just do small loads even though he said it wouldn't hurt it if I did big loads.  Nope.....not gonna chance it.  Now to wait for the appliance store to call and say they have THIS part in stock.

Happy Stitching!

LHN Autumnal SAL stitched project finished

WOOHOO!!!  I am doing the happy dance today as well as last night.  I finished stitching my LHN Blessed Are the Peacemakers for the LHN/CCN Autumnal SAL Saturday evening.  I decided to wait until today to post about it.  I will be doing the final finishing on this project this week and making it into a stand up cube.

This was a fun project to stitch up especially as I don't have very many Autumn stitched to display.

Happy Stitching everyone!

Day 2 of LHN/CCN Autumnal SAL....

Ok just a quick post for those who may not have a Facebook account or on the LHN Facebook page.

Here is where I stopped last night at 3:30 a.m.   Ok...early in the wee hours this morning. LOL

I do hope to get this finished today but we'll see.  I did have 3 quick errands to run this a.m. as I like to go do my errands first thing to start my day so I can have the remaning day to myself.  Especially this weekend when I am trying to only stitch.

Not too bad progress for Day 1.  I am sure I would have been farther had I not been checking back every now and then to see who had posted their LHN progress!  LOL  It's been fun to see what everyone is stitching on for this SAL!!!

Back to the needle and my spot on the loveseat!

Happy Stitching!!!

LHN/CCN Autumnal Facebook SAL

WOOHOO!!!  Today is our starting date for our LHN/CCN Autumnal SAL.  This is being hosted by Vonna on Facebook.  I have pulled my fabric out of the bag and pressed the 36ct V. Light Examplar for LHN Blessed Are the Peacemakers.  What a great day to start a new project on a Friday!!  Ohhhh who am I kidding???  Who doesn't love starting a new project!!!???!!!  (Guilty as spoken!) LOL

I hope to get A LOT of stitching done this weekend as DS and DH are heading out for a retreat this Labor Day weekend!!!  I could have gone on the retreat but I have been traveling so much this year thus far I just needed some down time to not GO ANYWHERE else as of yet. I have all my chores and errands caught up so I have NOTHING TO DO but cross stitch this weekend, and I am gonna love it!!

Happy Stitching everyone!
