Happy Valentine's Day!!!!
I just want to wish everyone a very Happy Valentine's Day today!!! I am late in posting because we had company that was leaving out this morning, and I had errands to run very early before all the bad weather was to move in here. I was able to take advantage of JoAnn Fabric's President's Day sale on Simplicity patterns for my daughter and I. She and I were texting back and forth what patterns she wanted. She wanted some patterns for a new Cosplay outfit, and I wanted a new formal dress pattern to make the next time my husband has a military event to attend.
But let's get onto some stitching news now and show you what I sent to my daughter this year at college in her Valentine's Day box of goodies!!! This is The Primitive Hare Small Valentine's design. You can find her Etsy shop HERE. I did change a couple of things on Isobel's design, and I hope she doesn't mind. I wanted it to be more personal for my daughter. I took out the bird in the postage stamp and added I ♥ U, added an additional heart in the top left corner on the back side, changed the date to 2015, and I added in my daughter's name and Love, Mom. This is stitched on 32ct white Belfast linen with HDF threads. She LOVED it and has it next to a little mailbox in her dorm room.
I have had a great Valentine's Day today. Our son wanted to do something nice for my husband and I so he bought us Chick Fil A as a Valentine's Day present to us both. I LOVED IT!! That was soooo sweet of him. I gave him some Valentine's Day candy, and he shared it with me too!!! What a little gentleman!!! My hubby, MY VALENTINE, gave me a gift certificate to the Attic Needlework. WOOHOO What stitcher wouldn't want a gift certificate to any needlework shop!!!!???!!!! So yes.....bonus points for hubby!!!!
I'm back to stitching tonight!!! WOOHOO!!! I will have more to share later on this month!!!
As always.......HAPPY STITCHING!
