November Smalls Post.......
Yeah!!! Today is our November Smalls post which is hosted by Heather of Stitching Lotus. I am SOOO thankful she chose to wait an extra week since our usual posting date ended up on our Thanksgiving here in the US. Thank you Heather!!!!
I was able to get my friend Janet to get pictures of the small MBT pinkeeps that I stitched for my retreat roommates. WHY I didn't photograph them as soon as I had finished them, I don't know. But here are 4 of the 5 that I forgot the picture of. Beth will be sending me her photo soon. I had stitched each one in their favorite color for the main color and then accented with a coordinating color.
If you saw my post yesterday for my TUSAL report, you saw I had a TON of ORTs! A lot of them came from presents and ornaments that I will be able to show you next month. Here are a few smalls that I did in addition to the ornaments and gifts.
SB Give Thanks pincushion
SB Sheep Sled
JN Mr. Nutley Owl
And last but not least......my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE that I just assembled last night!!!
JN Santa Mouse
I LITERALLY SQUEALED in delight when I saw him to be released, and of course I just HAD to have him!!!! I have started the JN Nutcracker Slide Pocket but it didn't get finished over Thanksgiving. I was busy spending it with family and stitching while visiting. So HOPEFULLY it will be finished to show next month. You can see Just Nan's newest things on her website HERE.
That's all I have to post for this month. I need to start making a list so I don't forget to blog about it!!!
Happy Stitching!

Nov TUSAL .....
It's that time again for our TUSAL report. Sharon of It's Daffycat is our host for our Totally Useless SAL. You can click on the link to find out more about it.
Here is where I am at for my ORTs. I have A LOT this month in my little ORT tin. So much so it's overflowing and I did not push them all down to make them squeeze in there. I kinda liked to see how high the "pile" was actually going to end up being!
While I was taking pictures this morning, I decided to take one of my ORT jar!!! I had to take it to the dining room table to photograph to get a better picture of it than in my sewing room. WOW!!! It REALLY is getting full! I can't wait to see it for Decembers picture.
Now to backtrack on on what I posted yesterday for the Krispy Kreme Santa Belly doughnut. I mentioned that I had bought the calendar that had all the coupons and it was a coloring calendar. I thought I would show you what it looked like. I don't get to use all the coupons each month as they closed the Krispy Kreme close to our air force base and not that I ever got to go there either before it closed. I usually get them as a "treat" when I go visit family in Knoxville, TN. The coupons don't go to waste either as I send them to DD at college if she wants to buy some for her and her college friends......which is a REAL treat for them. Or I send it to my BIL sometimes who would buy it for his MIL.
Now back to my sewing room to do some finishing work.
Happy Stitching everyone!!!

Stitcher's Garden Ornament exchange
First let me apologize for not making a Thanksgiving Day post on my blog like I usually do. I was visiting family and they do not have internet connection. And of course.....all my blog pics are on my computer and not on my smart phone. I guess I could have still posted something on Thanksgiving Day but I was having fun visiting with family.....and stitching!
I belong to a group called Stitcher's Garden. We did our annual ornament exchange and mine came in the mail while I was gone. I just picked up the mail and my ornament came!!!
Here is what Jana stitched for me! No I don't know the designers name but Jana did an EXCELLENT JOB on all of it. The finish, the tightly twisted cording and mounting of the ornament!!!
I've gotten the ornament for my partner stitched and finished. Now I just need to mail it out to her. I was going to do that before the Thanksgiving break but you know how busy some days can just get before going on a trip. And I was doing some baking before I left to take with me like a cake and cookies!!! Our mailing date isn't until Dec 1 anyway but it will be in the mail tomorrow!!! I will be able to share it in a post next month.
Before leaving to come back home, we did make a stop at the Krispy Kreme store!!! I bought my annual calendar that has coupons each month, and a dozen doughnuts of 1/2 dozen chocolate iced white cream filled and 1/2 dozen of Santa Belly which are decorated as Santa's jacket of his belly filled with CHOCOLATE BUTTERCREAM inside. Krispy Kreme doesn't have a doughnut filled with chocolate buttercream all the time, but it will make appearances for the different seasons sometimes. Yes.....I have written to the company to THANK THEM for this as it is the CREAMIEST chocolate buttercream I have ever had!!!! YUMMMMMY
Now.....back to my finishing!
Happy Stitching!!!

Thurdays WIP post for yesterday.....
Ooops. I sooooo meant to upload my current project for WIP Wednesday yesterday. But however, chores, errands and then a sinus headache took my attention off of posting a Wednesday WIP.
Here is my JN Mr. Nutley Owl. I was hoping to have him completed this past weekend but no such luck on that.
I am using the colors called for as well as the fabric for this little piece. I needed a break from stitching up all my last minute ornaments.
Now.....back to the sewing room as I was doing some "finishing" on some stitched projects. I better go while I'm motivated!

Happy Veteran's Day
I just wanted to say Happy Veteran's Day to honor all who have served like this picture shows. But I also want to honor those who are currently serving our country now as well! I am SOOOOO THANKFUL for their sacrifice for our freedom today!!!
I will be working on a patriotic piece today, but I don't know which one it will be. Perhaps a new small project or one that is patriotic and needs finishing.
I just wanted to share one last photo for my blog as I just LOVE this waving American Flag.

WIP Wednesday.....
I thought I would take a moment to share my WIP on MBT 10 Commandments. I am LOVING stitching on this one. I'm sorry for the darkness of the photo but there is no other room than our living room to lay this one out well enough to get somewhat of a decent photo.
This huge project I am stitching in hand and you can see on the left side where I roll it inward while holding it to stitch on the project.
I am stitching this in Gloriana Midnight silk and NPI silk in color 503 (Chinese Red Range). I would LOVE to have this done before Christmas so that is my goal, but I'm not going to hold myself to this 100%. LOL
Happy Stitching everyone!

October's Smalls Post.....
Heather of Stitching Lotus is our host for the Smalls SAL. You can click on her link above or on her blog name. This is such a fun SAL to do all year long!
I have quite a few smalls to share this month. The first one is a birthday present I gave to my dear friend Pat back in July, but I couldn't post a picture of it. I was stitching it for my SB Retreat roommates, and I didn't want them to see their gift ahead of time.
This is MBT Friends Are Family. I used HDF on 28ct white jobelan. The colors were just random that I picked from my stash.
This is the fob that I designed up to donate at the SB Retreat. Our theme this year was Embrace the Journey. I found these wonderful charms at JoAnn Fabrics which made designing this fob so much easier. When we donated our fobs, we also gave a $5 donation which went to the Heifer International. SB had chosen that they would send a girl from another part of the world to school. All the money that was donated with the fobs, SB would match the donation. You can see more about our retreat on the SB blog. All the projects this year were just simply FANTASTIC! I told Teri and Tina that this was the best retreat ever since I have been going to them!!! They just continue to amaze me with their creativity as well as the other designers!
I have stitched up 2 Foxwood Crossings sleds but for donation to Attic Needlework Breast Cancer Aucion. I have stitched them in honor of my pastor's wife who was just recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
The last small to be "finished" was my Erica Michael's Yikesberry strawberry. I have never had to do a strawberry finish where I had to add my seam allowance. I got it all cut out, but I think my fingers slipped a little as I don't think it's centered exactly right for the spider's body to be at the point of the strawberry. Well at least not to my liking..... but I will just call this one a "learning experience". I used the fabric and threads called for as listed. It was a fun stitch earlier this year, but I just did the finishing on it yesterday. Just in time to have for my Fall/Halloween display in the main living room.
That's all I have to share for this month's Smalls Post! Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read my blog and comment!!
Happy Stitching!
