Yeahhh I just love this time of year! Not only for my Advent boxes but just the whole Christmas Season. For those of you who know me, I stitch Christmas ornaments all year long and I "woohoo" when I get done with each and every one of them.
Today's Advent present from my Stitcher's Garden board, I received a lovely new pair of Christmas socks (which I might add that I forgot to add to my wish list) and a pack of new highlighters to use for all those wonderful projects I have planned this year and the SALs.
Speaking of SALs, I did finish the iStitch Designs Advent SAL at 11:30pm last night and took a picture just so the date would show so you would know I was not fibbing. I am stitching it in NPI silks on 40ct natural linen. This linen is stiff and I wished I had rinsed it before starting on it to take some of the stiffness out but oh well. Too late now. So here is Day 1 of iStitch Advent SAL.
I had not cut the fabric down to size and it made it a little difficult to stitch last night with all the excess fabric off to the right side. That will be for ornaments later on this next year.
Now....I just finished stitching Day 2 of this fun little Advent SAL. I did cut it down to size with a nice 2" margins all around.
I do apologize for the wrinkled fabric this morning. I did press it last night for Day 1 before taking the picture.
Now....I'm off to finish sewing up some last minute gifts.
Happy Stitching!
I LOVE Christmas socks! I have only about 4 pairs, but there's still time to get more! The iStitch SAL is looking good! Hugs!
